Return Policy

At Talezy, we want you to be completely satisfied with your personalized children's book. We understand that each book is custom-made specifically for you, which affects our return policy. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

1. Our Commitment to Quality

Every Talezy book is individually created with AI-generated stories and illustrations based on your specific selections. We maintain high quality standards throughout our production process to ensure you receive a book you'll treasure.

2. Personalized Products Policy

Due to the personalized nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse, change of mind, or subjective dissatisfaction with the AI-generated content. Each book is custom-made and cannot be resold.

3. Eligible Returns

We will accept returns and provide replacements or refunds in the following circumstances:

3.1 Production Defects

  • Missing pages or incorrect page order
  • Printing errors (smudged ink, illegible text, severe color issues)
  • Binding defects (loose pages, damaged spine)
  • Significant damage to the book cover

3.2 Order Errors

  • Wrong product shipped
  • Incorrect personalization (different from what you entered)
  • Missing items from your order

3.3 Shipping Damage

  • Books damaged during shipping
  • Water damage or other shipping-related issues

4. Return Process

4.1 Initiating a Return

To request a return:

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery
  2. Email returns@talezy.ai with:
    • Order number
    • Reason for return
    • Photos clearly showing the issue
  3. Wait for return authorization before shipping

4.2 Return Authorization

Once we review your request, we will:

  • Approve or deny the return within 2 business days
  • Provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if approved
  • Send instructions for returning the item

4.3 Shipping Returns

For approved returns:

  • We will provide a prepaid shipping label for defective products
  • Pack the book securely to prevent further damage
  • Include the RMA number with your return
  • Ship within 7 days of receiving authorization

5. Refunds and Replacements

5.1 Processing Time

After we receive your return:

  • Inspection: 2-3 business days
  • Replacement production: 6-10 business days
  • Refund processing: 5-7 business days

5.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed.

5.3 Replacement Options

For defective products, you may choose:

  • A replacement book with the same specifications
  • A full refund of the purchase price
  • Store credit for future purchases

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Digital products (PDF downloads)
  • Books ordered more than 30 days ago
  • Books with customer-caused damage
  • Books where the AI-generated content meets our quality standards but doesn't match personal preferences

7. Preview and Approval Process

To minimize returns, we encourage you to:

  • Carefully review all personalization details before ordering
  • Check the preview of your book before finalizing
  • Understand that AI-generated content may vary in style
  • Contact us with questions before ordering

8. Quality Concerns

If you have concerns about your book's quality that don't qualify for a return:

  • Contact our customer service team
  • We may offer a discount on future orders
  • Your feedback helps us improve our AI systems

9. Cancellations

Order cancellations are only possible:

  • Within 1 hour of placing the order
  • Before story generation begins
  • By contacting cancel@talezy.ai immediately

Once AI generation begins, cancellations are not possible due to computational resources used.

10. International Returns

For international orders:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless product is defective
  • Customs duties are non-refundable
  • Return timeline may be extended due to international shipping

11. Gift Orders

For books purchased as gifts:

  • Gift recipients should contact the purchaser for returns
  • Refunds will be issued to the original purchaser
  • We can issue store credit to gift recipients upon request
